Hotline to Prevent Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
Tips to Prevent Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
Cookware and heaters shall be inspected periodically. Pay attentions to warnings due to incomplete combustion, such as unstable water pressure in the water pipe and unstable temperature of the hot water.
The key point of carbon monoxide poisoning prevention is to keep the full vitalization of the location where the heater is installed (especially near the burning area of the gas) rather than the full ventilation of the bathroom.
Another situation may be that the heater is installed on the balcony and doors and windows indoors leading to the balcony are wide open. In such case, there must be a vent near the heater. When using the gas heater, doors and windows on the balcony must be opened for ventilation; meanwhile, doors and windows between the house and balcony must be closed. This is the correct way for self protection.
