Fire Bureau, New Taipei City was formally set up on July 1, 1998 with 3,500 workers in the organization, in which there are Commissioner,2 Deputy Commissioner,1 Chief Secretary,1 Senior Specialist and 2 Senior Technical Specialists as well as 11 Division (Fire Prevention, Hazardous Materials Management, Fire Investigation, Information Communication and Supervision, Emergency Medical Service, Civilian Coordination, Training and Education, Disaster Rescue, Fire Safety Promotion, Preparedness and Response and Prevention and Mitigation), 5 Offices(Inspector, Secretariat, Personnel, Accounting, Civil Service Ethics), 1 Emergency and Rescue Command Center and 1 Fire Apparatus Maintenance Center, 1 Special Search and Rescue Corps. Considering the special features in Taipei County, there are 7 Emergency and Rescue Corps and 72 fire branch created for fire fighting, disaster rescues and emergency ambulance service for the people.
