When perfusion in the body becomes lower, blood pressure goes down, the pulse becomes quick and weak, breathing becomes rapid and shallow, the skin becomes clammy, the face becomes pale, and the patient becomes restless and nervous.
- Keep respiratory tract unobstructed.
- Control external bleeding, and provide high density oxygen when necessary.
- Watch carefully to keep warm for the patient suffering from shock.
- Maintain proper position.
- Prone: Feet raised 20~ 30cm
- Prone with feet level: Used for serious limb injury. Be aware that if the patient vomits, it may obstruct the respiratory tract.
- Raise head and shoulders a little higher: Used for breathing difficulty but without spinal injury
- Half Prone: taken for patients with heart and lung diseases
